Consecutive Sudoku

A bar means neighbours. No bar means not.

Let's Play

About the game

Green bars sit between cells whose numbers follow each other, like 4 and 5. And every bar is shown: where there is none, the numbers are not neighbours. That second half of the rule is the clever part.

Rules

Fill the grid so that every row, every column and every 3×3 box holds each number from 1 to 9 exactly once.

A bar between two cells means their numbers follow each other (like 4 and 5). Every such pair has its bar: where there is no bar, the two numbers do not follow each other.

Every puzzle has exactly one solution, so it can always be found by reasoning, without guessing. A number that breaks a rule turns red.

How to play

  1. Tap a cell, then a number below the board (or type it).
  2. A green bar joins two numbers that follow each other, like 4 and 5.
  3. Where there is no bar, the numbers do not follow each other.
  4. Not sure? Switch on notes and pencil in the options.
