FreeCell

Every card face up, four free cells, and almost every deal can be won.

Let's Play

About the game

The solitaire of pure skill: all 52 cards lie face up from the first move, so nothing is left to luck. Park cards in the four free cells, build the columns down in alternating colours and bring every suit home. The deals are numbered as in the classic version, so you can replay a famous one or share yours, and of the first million only eight cannot be won. With undo, hints that look for a way to win, and safe cards going home by themselves.

Rules

All 52 cards are dealt face up into eight columns, four of seven cards and four of six. Above them are four free cells and four foundations.

A column is built down in alternating colours: a red 9 on a black 10. Any card may go into an empty column. Each free cell holds one card, and the top card of a column or a cell card may move.

A run in alternating colours moves as a whole when you could also move it card by card through the free cells and empty columns: with three free cells and no empty column, up to four cards; every empty column doubles that (one fewer counts when the run goes into an empty column).

The foundations are built up by suit from Ace to King. Cards no other card can still need go home by themselves after your move (this can be switched off). The game is won when all 52 cards are home.

The deals are numbered from 1 to 1,000,000, the same as in the classic version: deal 1 here is deal 1 everywhere. Only eight of them cannot be won (11982 is the famous one), and a new random deal never picks those. Type a number in the settings to play a deal you know.

How to play

  1. Drag or tap a card to move it.
  2. Build the columns down, red on black and black on red.
  3. Park cards in the four free cells to reach the ones you need.
  4. Move all four suits home, Ace to King, to win.
