Pyramid Solitaire
Pairs that make 13: take the pyramid apart from the bottom up.
About the game
A patience of quick sums. Take pairs of free cards that add up to 13 (a Queen with an Ace, a Jack with a 2, a 7 with a 6) and Kings on their own, and work your way up to the top of the pyramid. The stock helps out with one more card at a time, and you choose how often you may go through it. With undo, hints, and deals that can always be won.
Rules
28 cards are dealt face up as a pyramid of seven rows, each row overlapping the one above. The other 24 cards form the stock.
A card is free when no card of the row below lies on it. Two free cards whose values add up to 13 are taken off together: Ace (1) and Queen (12), 2 and Jack (11), 3 and 10, 4 and 9, 5 and 8, 6 and 7. A King (13) is taken off alone.
Tap the stock to turn its next card onto the waste. The top card of the waste is free and may pair with a pyramid card or be taken away as a King. When the stock is empty, tap it to turn the waste back over: once, three times or as often as you like through the stock, as set in the settings (three by default).
The game is won when the whole pyramid is cleared; cards left in the stock do not matter. It is over when no pair is free and the stock cannot be turned any more.
Scoring: 5 for every card taken off, 25 for every row of the pyramid cleared, and 100 more for the card at the top.
"Winnable only" (the default) deals only games a solver has won knowing the order of the stock, so there is always a way.
How to play
- Drag a free card onto another free card so the two make 13, or tap it.
- Jack is 11, Queen 12 and King 13: a King goes away on its own.
- Tap the stock to turn a card; the top card of the waste may pair too.
- Clear the whole pyramid to win.
